Bird's eye view

Folkestone Warren’s mix of cliffs, woodland, grassland and seashore provides a spectacular home to many different birds.

The white cliffs offer safe nesting sites for peregrine falcons and ravens, whilst Mediterranean gulls and other sea birds can be seen along the seashore. You can often see interesting birds in the spring and autumn, as the scrub and woodland provide a rest stop for migrating birds crossing to and from the continent.

There are walking routes through the Warren with a special guide to the bird life, or try one of the regular events.
